About Me

Dr. Naga Rama Devi Vedala, Associate Professor, completed her Ph.D from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur and has over eighteen years of academic and research experience. Her Ph.D work was on Optimal Control of Two-Phase N-Policy Queueing Systems with System Breakdowns. Prior to PhD, she had earned Bachelors of Arts, and Masters of Sciences in Statistics.
Dr. Rama Devi’s research interests include developing models for Queueing systems and Applications of Multivariate Techniques in which she has more than 10 publications, in various journals and conferences. She is currently working on Application of Numerical methods in Queueing problems
Dr. Rama Devi currently manages finishing School at GRIET, Hyderabad. She has been in this role since 2016. As a part of this, Remedial classes are conducted every year to bring back the low performing students into main stream through individual counseling and fast track special sessions.
In past, Dr. Rama Devi was the Coordinator of Women’s Development Cell from 2013-2018(5 Years) at GRIET, Hyderabad and instrumental in Women Faculty participation in Institution Growth phase. Dr. Rama Devi was also the Chairperson of Anti—sexual Harassment Cell of GRIET from 2014-2018 (4 Years) where she handled gender related grievances. She also worked as Lecturer for different UG and PG Programmes by achieving continuous improvement in Academic Results as well as Student Feedback and also designed tailor-made Course material for better understanding of the subject.
