About Me
Dr. V Mallikarjua Reddy, Professor and H.O.D of Civil Engineering department, has received his Ph.D. from JNTU Hyderabad, Telangana. He has over 31 years of teaching and 1 year of Industry experience. He is actively involved in research activities for the last 8 years. He got Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree in Structural Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (J.N.T.U), Hyderabad.
He has joined GRIET as Associate Professor and previously he worked for CMRTES campus for One year and TRR College of Engineering Hyderabad for 3 years. He also worked in TGLG Polytechnic ADONI for 16 years and for 4years in ERITREA(NE AFRICA). He worked for JNTUH College of Engineering as Visiting Faculty for PTPG Structural Engineering for 5years.
His career interests are to be involved extensively in Teaching, consultancy and Research Activities relevant to Industry and Society.
He is associated with various professional bodies such as Institute of Engineers (India), Indian Society for Technical Education, Indian Concrete Institute. His research interests are Concrete technology and Special concretes. He teaches Theory and Analysis of Plates, Advanced Concrete Technology and Analysis and Design of Shells and Folded Plates at Post graduate level and Design of Reinforced Concrete Structures, Design of Steel Structures, Strength of Materials etc. at graduate level. He has 23 national and international publications.
He was presented the IEI Best Technical Paper award from Civil Engineering Division of Institution of Engineers (India) Telangana State Centre presented during Technical session of the 2nd Annual General Meeting 2016. He has nearly 17 invited lecture talks at various engineering colleges and Panchayatraj department Ongole A.P.
He was an Editor for Proceedings of National Conference on RECENT INNOVATIONS IN CIVIL ENGINEERING (2017) with ISBN: 978-93-5279-269-6. He was an Editor for Proceedings of International Conference on Civil Engineering Aspects for Sustainability (IConCES2020)with ISBN:978-93-89947-05-2. He has guided nearly 22 B.Tech and 12 M.Tech projects. He is actively involved in consultancy projects executed by the department. He visited KRABUK University of TURKEY as visiting professor for two weeksin the year 2018.
